I am a lot of things. Of those things I am a victim of domestic violence. This is my collection of stories about the abuse that happens between these four walls. I am a private person; I do not talk about what happens. Over the last few years it has escalated from degrading, belittling yelling to breaking furniture, to stealing my money and finally to physical abuse and rape. And then there was a cataclysmic reason to change.
We are both working and struggling to become better people and develop a health, sane relationship between each other. I hope that this is a progressive journal with a positive outcome, for that is the hopes I have for my relationship. I hope that we are able to progress out of this dark hole plagued with our own addictions, bad habits, angry tendencies, depression and a little social anxiety. We closed ourselves off from the world; we stopped living the way we should have been and things deteriorated. And now it is time to open back up to the world and seek help for the underlining personal issues that are destroying us. It is time for us to start recovering.
